I used to play pretty seriously but haven't now for over 20 years! But 'in my day' I used Sriver 2.5mm on a Surbek blade. Don't know if they still make the blade but certainly they still make Sriver. Now I'd like to get back into it and I still have the blade - but need new rubbers. Does anyone have some good condition used or new Sriver rubber at a good price? Maybe some of you have some blades with rubber on that you might want to get rid of.

BTW: I'm in Adelaide

Welcome back to ping-pong! If you want to catch up with some rubbers that you have missed since you were playing before and simultaneously find out about other rubbers that are similar to Sriver, then you could have a look at this link:

You might want to look into the new variations of Sriver as well such as EL, FX, G2, High-Tuned etc. I think there is a poll on mytabletennis.net and EL seems to be quite popular.

You are right - those prices are pretty good! Regarding the thickness, I think if you went back 20 years you would find that it was available in 2.5mm.

I must have misread presports as I thought it said Sriver was about $47 a sheet before postage. The link I put up had it at $38 with $5 postage.

Yes. I've put in maybe half a dozen orders, all have come through without a hitch. Average of 6 working days delivery period.

I'm about to order 2 x sriver. But I'd like to be really confident that what I'm getting is what I ordered. See the following link - 3rd one down at $26.75 per sheet (Aussie doallars - not sure where you are). Others are around $47.

What I don't understand is why their Sriver prices vary so much depending upon the specific type.

Some of their Sriver is $47 as you said you had seen, which is why I'm confused - see above link. Have you had any dealings with presports?

The AUD$26 are the normal sriver that you want, the others have specially sponges that offer more power and/or spin.

The operate out of Malaysia...

Hi GH,

I'm not an expert in Sriver by any means. I have just seen it at a few places on ebay. Silver and Haggis would know a heck of a lot more than I. I'd just looked at presports, seen the $47 ticket and known I'd seen it cheaper. But obviously srivers aint all srivers! Good luck.

the more expensive versions are the "tuned" (pseudospeedglue) and such versions - Powersponge has a sponge treatment and High Tuned is another version of it.
