I have two sheets of both red and black in tsp p1r, and I've played with ox, 1.0, 1.3, and 1.7. I've also got a red sheet of pogo.
As far as I have been able to tell, there is no difference for this rubber between the two colors. Red and Black are the same unaltered - if you see a slower or reduced friction sheet, it's probably altered.
The sponge on p1r is also rock hard and very slow. I've found that the 1.3, and especially 1.7 thickness for this rubber are very difficult to control due to the extra firm sponge. You have to hit the ball quite hard to get a good feeling with the 1.7 thickness and it just doesn't feel right without digging into it. I can see why world class choppers would like such a long pips for defending against world class speed and spin, but it just doesn't shine all that well if you're chopping against a typical club player. I much prefer using ox for this rubber as I find it to be very good for just about everything I need. I can attack fairly well, there's enough friction to push dead balls into slight chop, and chopping from a distance are all satisfactory.
As for pogo, I only have a sheet with .6mm sponge added to it by colestt. This rubber is very strange to me because the pips are much farther apart than my other rubbers. It's like a softer and further spread apart version of palio ck531a. I liked this rubber for chopping and pushing, but I had a hard time attacking with it. Also, I find the gargantuan label at the bottom of the rubber to be distracting as I was always worried about accidentally hitting that part.
