Doing practice with DTECS (red OX) since a couple of weeks and quite enjoying on a TSP Balsa 2.5. This a real slow and quite elastic blade on which the rubber is still fast and bouncy but I'm slowly getting used to it... I was wondering whether anyone has managed to use it on a stiffer/stiff blade i.e. Donic Cayman. Probably more "disruptive" on similar blades but more difficult to control ?... Thanks for feedback.

I've tried DTecs ox on a lot of blades and found The Nittaku Shake Defense to be the best.

Thanks, I believe that the behaviour of the rubber on the Shake shouldn't be much different from the Balsa 2,5...anyway will give it try ! BTW are you using DTECS red or black as I heard that the black version is quite slower then the red although a bit grippier. Also, do you find the Shake Def. to be a good blade for topspins ?

I've found that the NSD is perfect for the Dtecs and also is fast enough to do some damage on the forehand side. Some of the slower blades I've tried were good on the pips side, but a liability on the forehand. On faster blades, the Dtecs had some control issues (although still quite effective). For me the NSD is the right mix. As for topspin, the NSD is a carbon blade so not huge dwell time. Nice for blocking and hitting, though.

Black is slower. Red is more disruptive.

Thanks Phantom  ..so would you rate the touch of the NSD blade "harder" on the DTECS if compared with the thin BALSA blade ? I'm saying this because I think that the ball contact on a stiffer blade should make the use of the DTES more dangerous because of the very soft pips. OK for red but when you mean more "disruptive" is this related only to the speed of the rubber ?

For me, red Dtecs on the NSD gives maximum controllable spin reversal/wobble effect, plus I like the forehand side, too.

I've tried DTecs with TTMaster Evolutive Defense, RE-Impact Hydra, Nittaku Shake Defense, Dr. Neubauer Kung Fu, RE-Impact Taipan, Sword Strange King, Butterfly Grubba Carbon, Butterfly Gergely and I'm sure a few more. IMO NSD works best overall.

I wasn't using D.Tecs with it, but I found the Taipan, while really amazing for control, lacking in its ability to produce the kind of dynamic spin variation that I've seen with other blades, such as softer balsa blades. Even long-distance chopping, while really controlled with the Taipan, was not quite as nasty to opponents as with some other blades. But, again, I haven't used D.Tecs.

The Taipan is good for active play a few steps back from the table. Not so great for blockers who stay at the table.

At the table IMO you have to have ALL- to ALL+ blade, pritty light, because the rubber is fast and because fast using of wrist to change angles...I have it on Barricade...

Have just ordered a NSD to test a red one on + compare vs. the Balsa 2.5 ! One question...did you use the adhesive film provided with the rubber or did you glue it onto the rubber? Which option would you recommend ?...

Congratulations. Hope you like it. I use it with the attached glue sheet.

I played with the Dtecs on a 2.5 TSP Balsa for about a year and it was excellent. However, I came to the conclusion after reading posts on here, that the best platform for it is the slowest blade with the hardest surface. I've been with the Joo now for about a year and think that it gives more disruption than with the TSP Balsa. The trade off is that it is a little faster, but you get used to that.

Has any one tried Tibhar DTechs (OX) on Hallmark Aurora?
