Hi Greg.
I'm a fan of your forum/website. Read all about LP article which made me confused!!! :x for a while.

I was switching between Dest-OX and TSP P1-R. But now I'm settled with Dest.
Have any VDO of your game or the guy you met at AUS national?
BTW. If you have time, please take a look at my video(in thise LP rubber forum) and comment.

You can see some video of me here:
http://www.gregsttpages.com/aboutme/aboutme.html

There's some stuff from 2004 and 2005. I'm probably playing a bit better now, since I've improved my forehand and chopping better on the BH with the Destroyer OX.

Can you point me to the thread with your video?

Greg. Those are good videos !!!! :D
We play in different styles, I saw somethings I could improve my game.
BTW. you twiddle like a mad man!!!!! I don't even know what side did you hit with in some shots.
I guess you use thin sponge on FH.....Am I right? I'll say 1.9 mm.
I'll add some aggresiveness to my game.

Hi Bogeyhunter - I use Tango Def 1.2mm.

Couple of suggestions while I watch your video
* Be careful of stepping over with your right foot when chopping a backhand - it can put you out of position
*You tend to wait in a backhand position with your bat during the point (I tend to do the same if I lose focus) - this can restrict chances at hitting a forehand properly
* Some nice chops in there though

"Be careful of stepping over with your right foot when chopping a backhand" - I don't get it :?: ...You mean my R foot was in wrong position, too forward?
"You tend to wait in a backhand position with your bat during the point" - I intent to do so coz I use 2.2mm sponge FH so kinda harder to chop, often lose points bcoz of FH chop...so I try to avoid having to chop with FH(stay on R side of the table and ready to chop BH).
Thank for advices :D .......I'll think about it, maybe using 1.9 or 1.2(steal your idea) for FH is a good idea. A friend told me that to be a better player/higher level, I need to be more aggressive on my FH, counter loop more and chop less. What do you think?
I'm gonna watch my video and yours again.
BTW. I'm impressed with the way you use 1.2mm and still attack very effectively.

When chopping on the backhand in the first video, quite a few times you actually bring your right foot across in front of your left foot while making the stroke. This can leave you with your feet in the wrong position very easily. I'd suggest shuffle stepping with both feet instead, so that your feet don't end up crossed over.

The Tango 1.2mm feels to me like normal 1.9mm rubber when attacking - I have no problem with attacking with this rubber, which is handy. Counterlooping more on the forehand is a good idea, but it also requires a lot of fitness and quickness of footwork to keep up. So you'll have to work a bit to be able to maintain it over a full match.
