I got 2 sheets (one red and one black) from Thailand and I might try the rubber on Tuesday or Thursday next week..

I really should try and rip the sponge of mine, and see how it plays in OX. I'll certainly try if you like some of it's features...

Tried SANWEI Code yesterday and only played it for 1 minute before I ripped it off the racket.. While the rubber is slow and has good control, it comes off the rubber too high (high trajectory), even against spinless balls.. Didn't like it at all.. Not my type of long pips..

Yes, it plays completley different. Ball comes of the rubber high while it comes of medium low from the Bomb. I think that Bomb Talent plays a lot better.. but different players like different rubbers.. I didn't evaluate more features of the rubber as the most critical aspect for me is how high the ball comes off the rubber and if it's too high, it's not for me.. I felt like the rubber played a little bit like Xiying 979. Both are good rubbers to play it safe but against good attackers, you'd get killed if the ball comes off the blade too high...

I agree. And this is why I play with Bomb talent. The Pogo seems to be interesting. Will you try it?
Have you try the Ulmo Duality finally?

Right now , I am in China with the youth team for Table Tennis training.

There is one youth player who just switch from reverese rubber to CODE for 1 days and he is doing pretty well with it.

I may take some VDO of his practice and put in YOUTUBE

Just have chance to upload the VDO.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XfBYwrowlyA

This boy had changed from revert rubber to CODE 1.0 mm and practiced for 2 days.

After that he will focus on active blocking , attack using LP with the adult trainer as well as footwork since his forehand is quite strong.

Bumping up an older thread

Just got an order in of 6 sheets of sanwei code from eacheng. I had a sheet of it in 1.0 sponge from a few years ago I was trying with my new blades-it actually seemed to have a little better control on the current, slower blade than when I had tried it a year or 2 ago. Interestingly, although the vendor sold it in 1.0 sponge, all 6 of my sheets had sponge thicknesses stamped at 0.5 (1 sheet), 0.7 (2 sheets) and 0.8 (3 sheets). That is surprising-I doubt I can tell the difference in sheets if the numbers are real, but it does imply to me that the manufacturer is paying close attention to quality control. The one sheet I put on has the nice soft, supple feel of my original sheet. I likely will stick with this for 6 months to a year-the only other LP that interests me is the not out yet, curl P4.

I guess I need to modify my signature....again.

edit-they are selling for 10 US dollars with sponge.

That's one way to look at it... but on the other hand some people would prefer to get 1mm if they order 1mm, and get the same thickness everytime. It's good that they mark it, but with better quality control they should be able to get more consistant sheets.
