Thanks Martin

I seldom hit, but often make forehand topspinYinhe Schild also suited for topspin on forehand? It seems to be a very hard, stiff blade? Hard to find reviews on it.

How about the other defensive Yinhe/galaxy blades: 980 and DE-1? Anyone with experiences?

The Yinhe Schild is a bouncy blade and suited for a game with much rotation :D

Looks like you like the Snowflake a lot more than the Dragon Talon.

The Snowflake with the 0.9 mm spong on a Yinhe Schild is a perfect combo. Giant Dragon has been greatly enhanced by the Snowflake and Cropcircles

Martinspin,

Of the ones you tested, which were best for chopping producing heavy underspin when chopping loops, able to push low well, good reversal on blocks, and able to attack with fast flat hits?

I don't really understand how to read your ratings. Which rating tells me how well it reverses spin?

I keep trying LP's but have yet to find better magic. Maybe its just me...

Reversal depends also from the wood and the spong. Neptune OX makes less reversal and Neptune 0.5 mm spong makes much reversal. For many player with a disturbing game near the tabel, the Nittaku Shake Defence seem to be the first choice for chop blocking an disturbing effects.

The two best long pips rubbers for the long defense are in my eyes TSP Curl P1R and Meteor 845 OX. Attacking with long pimples isnt' easy. Twiddle an attack with the backside rubber ist much easier.

Hi folks I started testing all sheets without rubber, so we can see the difference between spong and OX :)

Till this project is finished you can watch at Noppentest.de the last tests: http://www.noppen-test.de/forum/viewtop ... =3&t=14006

I bought a sheet of the Neptune with thin sponge from eacheng.net and it looks like a med-hard sponge, which explains why it has good reversal, I think. It looks like the same sponge as the KTL Stranger Attack.

If you want Neptune with soft sponge, why not just order http://www.contra.de/product_info.php/l ... -Soft.html

or from ooakforumshop

http://tabletennisshop.com.au/index.php ... ts_id=1001

It looks like both carry it. If thats not the thickness you want, you could order 0X and sponge separate and glue them together. Its not that difficult.

Hi Martin,

any news about testing LP rubbers w/o sponge?

i am very curious about a couple of new rubbers like Hellfire and such in ox, how it compares to some older ones...

hopefully we will conclude the long term discussion which ox LP is best for close to the table play ;)

Aloha, Martin, thanks for the info. I switched from TBS, FH Ten05, BH Ten 64 to Joola MC1, FH Andro Shifter Powersponge, BH KTL Stranger Attack 1.2 mm. I personally think that the Stranger Attack 1.2 mm will be a great rubber to use if you are switching from inverted rubbers. My BH plays the LP still like inverted and I occassionally chop long balls or just to change the pace. I am unrated but have consistently beaten 1800-2000 players in my club. Long live LP....
