I really miss one STAT, that is the SPEED of the rubber.

Would be great to compare the speed of all the rubbers you have tested.

What cheap pips would you recommend for loop drives (if possible) and chop blocks on backhand?

The best chop blocking rubber I have ever used, Giant Dragon Cropcircles long pips, better than Talon, similar to Tibhar DtecS. Loop drives are possible but not recommended. Cost is $14 at ColesTT.

If you want to Loop Drive too, suggest you use an inverted rubber and learn the chop blocking technique which requires some effort and more skill than long pips.

PALIO WP 1013 OX (MP) on a slower blade is a cool allround rubber with a very good offense and good defense.

During the current season, I was unable to test. Now the season is over and the tests will continue. No, I did not tested Spinlord Keiler.

I need technical stability during the season and can not test, where I have all the time to change grip, angle, weigth of the paddles and so on. Now I'm very motivated to continue the work. :)

OX is slower, more linear, more controlled, less vulnerable to spin, producing less spin, more extreme angle possible, less pressure for the oponent, tendentially suitable for a close to table game, suitable for longer rallies, you got more time but your oponent too ;)

What are different sponge thicknesses good for?

Sponge bring you more dynamic to your pips. More thickness you have, more it will approach the caractéristics of a regular rubber with more spin manipulation: more speed, less control, less reversal, more hitting ability. You will be affect by the spin of the other player. You may be able to produce your own spin;top spin and chop. You will be able to produce float as well as heavy chop.

Instead of counting on déception by using the spin of the other player with pure reversal , you will get deception by creating and changing the spin. (Chop, float, topspin)
