Hey folks

On the ITTF-site is a video of a female pips player that isn't listed by bcbcbc. It's LI Jie (NED) and she's a pure chopper. You'll find that video here at the section "Evergrande Real Estate 4". It's the match against KWAK Bang Bang.

Cheers, Martin

"KWAK Bang Bang" What a great name or a TT player

Thanks, believe it or not I had already noticed on the ittf reports that she was talked about as a defender which means 99% chance she's got pips. Timina also.

Now, do they have long or short pips?

The girl Dang from s korea is apparently a sh inv/sp attacker

It's possible that LI plays with short pips because their pushes have a lot of backspin. When I watched the video I was amazed about this fact.

Hey pips fans

JANG Song Man PRK is a 22 years old defender. He's currrently #160 at the world ranking. He plays a very tough modern defense similiar to JOO Se Hyuk. You can watch him at some recordings of the Asian Qualifications for the Olympic Games 2008. Follow this video link to watch him.

Does anybody know his backhand rubber (long or short pips) ?

Cheers, Martin

The video RI Chol Guk vs JANG Song Man is a bit of a worse quality. The video of the match against CHEUNG Yuk is great (BOKETT) and this match was very thrilling.

I've stickied this list to top. It would be great if we can update the list with the equipment used by the players... So if you know what any of them use, please post, so we can add it to the list...

bcbcbc: If you don't mind (since this is your thread) you (or me) can edit the list at the start, and update it with the equipment used... What do you think?

Hey pips freaks

There is a new video on my site with the young defender WANG Xi CHN. He plays this year for the German Club TTV Gönnern where Timo BOLL played for many years. WANG Xi is world ranked 167 (March 2008).

Have fun, Martin

Hey Alex

I forgot to tell how this works. Because of copyrights some videos are only available for friends of a member. In this case DTTL.TV has the copyrights of the German League. So you need to be a member of MSPIN and then ask lumm71 to be your friend. That works well.

Cheers, Martin

Sorry, I just now noticed this. Been busy worrying about what rubber to replace friction special with.

You are certainly welcome to add information and I may contribute. I'm a bit down on very specific equipment lists at the moment because I'm afraid that a fair part of the information we do get is marketing crap.

I'm just very glad that there is obviously some appreciation of this list that I put quite a bit of work into compiling. Maybe this summer I'll update it from a new ranking list.

Hey pips friends

FUKUOKA Haruna JAP
Blade: PF4 ST ???
FH: TSP Triple Power 1.0
BH: TSP Curl P-3 OX (Long Pips)

Haruna has a very interessting play for former frictionless pips players. She plays at the table and use flip, counter, push, block and chop block with the grippy long pips rubber.

Does anybody know something about this ancient blade PF4?
