I would like to try my new DN OX on a Re-Impact blade and I'm wondering which would be the best choice...Thinking about Hydra or Medusa as I do like very light blades (50-60g) but I'm afraid they would be too slow on th FH?...Currently playing with the original Tachi 4005 (recently tried the "plus" version but liked it less then the original one) which I really enjoy in combination with my old dtecs ;) ..but will have to switch soon to the new one due to the age of the old rubber :( A team mate tried DN on the Tachi but his conclusion was that they weren't matching good together so...any recommendations about Hydra/Medusa or other light Re-Impact blades? By the way, I'm using a thin tacky chinese rubber on the FH of Tachi and I can push and spin so nicely with it... 8)

Please specify what you mean by DN. Do you mean Dtecs New? There are certain acronyms used on the forum that are accepted, DN is not one I am familiar with.

Ah ok, thanks. Dornenglanz is usually cut down to DG. If you like the Tachi on your FH, I'd still be tempted to put the DG onto it. While it might not suit your teammate, it may still suit you. A rubber cut to the Tachi is probably still going to fit another blade if you don't like it.

Yes I would expect it to work well on the Tachi... I'll be trying it myself within a few weeks ;)

First of all...apologies for having used DN instead of DG in the subject :!: ..realise this is misleading for those trying to understand the subject! Yesterday I tried the DG on my Tachi for a short time but the result was not encouraging :( ...basically, when I was chop-blocking with the same wrist movement I use with the dtecs, most of the balls were ending long out of the table as if the combination Tachi-DG could not take the pace off the strong topspins I was receiving :headbang: Looking at the videos from Variatio I realise that his wrist movement with DG is quite peculiar...and I think I should try to do the same one although not so easy after playing for about 2 years with dtecs 8) Overall, DG seemed to me definitely faster than dtecs on the tachi (!) but maybe this is related to the fact that DG is brand new and my dtecs quite old...would be curious to try it on the Hydra once I've learnt the "new"wrist movement... ;)

I fixed the title for you, so it may attract some more suggestions. I am yet to order a DG sheet so I can't say what its likely to work best on. Suggest you look at the sigs of members in the main DG thread for an idea.
