it must be in the blade then...

because whenever i tried dtecs instead of DG or Hellfire, it had less reversal on my chopblocks so i dismissed it... :?:

That's probably why it suits my Gergely. ;)

so, on Gergely dtecs has more reversal than talon? not pasive, on chop blocks?

have you tried DG and hellfire? or CC?, or talon national?

When chopping against loops, there is no other LP (in OX) which 'generates' more backspin than the Grass Dtecs for my strokes, and it's clearly more than just reversal, as there are other pips with a good reversal.
So I suspect you need to adjust your strokes to get the most out of this LP, which may not be something you're willing to do, as other pips clearly suit your current style better.

lol?
there are a lot of better pips in ox
octopus, dornenglanz, qing, p1r all in OX have better backspin vs topspin than grass dtecs

grass dtecs is best playing close to the table push/block style of game
for other style like chopping middistance or classic def there are better pips

there are always examples. but he isnt as good as he could be with other pips suited for his style.
and i hard belive that he is using grass OX, just look his high trajectory when he chops

On german forums is said that he uses ox.
The sound of is BH is pretty ox anyway.
The high trajectory of his chops may be a matter of his racket angle and timing.
Thus he has a short chopping motion, the one you would expect from an ox chopper.

Great video footage.
Every time I try to give Grass DTecS of up, I sneak back to it like a naughty schoolboy.

Dtechs does have more reversal and disruptiveness than Talon on Gergely for sure. Opponents have confirmed this in the past. I chop-block more than I passive block.

I have tried DG on it, it wasn't good for control at all. Haven't used any of the others you mentioned on it. I have CC, but didn't try it on Gergely.

Great video.
It is correct that his chops seem a bit high.
My chops with Dtechs 0,5 is much lower - this is infact something that Dtechs excel is the low chop.
Many other rubbers seem to throw the ball to high - when chopping.

After struggling with dtecs on my P700 I tried it in my usual blade (Andro Hiloom).

It didn't take me very long to get used to it, and I've now moved over to it from DG as my main LP.

The main advantages I've experienced over Dornenglanz is that I can attack better when needed, and that blocks and chop blocks are even more disturbing. I didn't experience as terrible durability issues with DG that some have, and I've not used Dtecs for long enough to be able to compare, but from anecdotal experience of other people I've met, its durability is excellent too.

Chopping from a few steps back is taking a little getting used to, but on the whole I'm entirely won over.

im a noob with the ox dtecs and my main combo is anti/sp.
within an hour or so i was fine with the ox dtecs-defplay blade helps with control.
i noticed that you can backhand roll with care-if you go for it too much its difficult to control.thats just my opinion and may be wrong.
i plan to persist with my fun bat which is anti and l/p.
