I don't think so I'm spending all my efforts into hitting with lp right from the start. I'll keep doing that until I can play it like a hard bat pro :). Plus I was a few months ago putting several hours a day into speed twiddling :).

Well I'm using a slower but hard blade so it grabs the ball pretty good when hitting and still goes crazy reversal on light strokes.

Like you, I was initially very hesitant about such fast blades. One day, I converted a chinese penhold Yinhe T2 into SH to play for fun. Since I only have DTecs OX, I tried it on and found it to be surprisingly nice and deadly. What's more, I can land it easily :whew: So after that, I went on a quest to look for something fast and stiff. I found the Xiom Axelo and never look back after that :D

Slow shots are ripe for attack, IMO, so you want the pips balls, especially to be sudden/fast enough and well placed enough that your opponent doesn't have time to think about what spin is on it, or how to hit it back, and that's when the odds are in your favor that they will goof it up.

My only complaint wit the Dtec.S 0X is that when I clip the table I always seem to lose a chunk of pips and so it costs $50 every time I so much as graze the table. Lately, I've just given up playing tournaments so that I don't have to replace them.

That is exactly how I find it.

Choi, I discovered the joy of Dtecs tonight on a fast blade.

I wrote up my experience of it here: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=22136

Hi haggis, I'm a reliable witness that fattchoi knows how to get the best out of each one of them, his Ovtcharov was mine, so we did a swap for one of his that I fancied, he, he, he..

Ozzie Rooster, I still have black DTecs on two of my blades. One is the Xiom Zetro Quad on my signature. The other is the Darker Speed90. I still use these two with black Dtecs just for varieties but will certainly swap to red when they are worn out. Your blades are almost ready 8)
