Thank you thank you thank you!!!

I've always admired and tried to copy Chen Weixing's side swip return of serve technique and this will really help out a lot!

P.S. is that you he is teaching??? Wow! Lucky guy! Wish he'd come to Australia!

I often wonder why Chen Weixing and other LP chopper pros aren't more offensive with their BH LP. This clip clearly shows Chen knows the techniques. Maybe such strokes are simply not effective at the elite level.

Great Instructional! The best that I have seen on youtube for a LP stroke in isolation. You see him doing it, then the "student", then he shows the motion and they both do the motion, and even the server talks about it. If CWX was a bh pushblocker he would beat up all the rec players with this one shot. Gonna watch this over and over. How much for a lesson with him???

I often see Chen sideswiping on his return of serve in actual matches...but at that level his opponents never have any problem dealing with it. I saw one not-very-serious match between Chen and Joo however where Joo did seem to have some trouble dealing with the sideswipe to his LP.

I was more referring to Chen's quick BH LP drives down the line than the sideswiping.

Awesome and thanks much! This is the kind of thing I was looking for. Would this technique work as well using OX LPs?

Yes. That's me.

To Nathanso : If sideswipe is the only weapon you have, good opp will just step back and wait to loop. Might get them a few shots to get use to spin but they will get it. The key is to have more choices.

I paid $300 for 2 days camp. This was in mid 2008. Took me 2 years to really understand the whole concept of returning with LP. I'm in the process of making an instruction video for LP and ..... found this in my old hard drive.

It's easier to do this with OX LP.

If it's light top or light underspin, doesn't matter much :

I'm playing with Friendship 799 OX (SP), I think some side swipe might work well with that! (after some experimentation)

Thanks for the video!
