I can see that most are talking about the ox version.
Could really use a alternative to Dtechs that hits better

I know you already tried, but here are some videos of Anton Tur who plays 1.0mm...kid has a nice style. More classic D than modern.

I used (and still have, if someone wants to try it) Agenda in 1.0mm sponge.

I have to say I found it unexceptional in every way. Not great for blocking or close to the table play. I didn't get much of a chance to chop with it, but that side of my game was less well developed.

I've only just started hitting with LP, so can't cast light on that either, but I'd be surprised if it was the equal of Dtecs in offensive mode.

As I mentioned elsewhere, top Englisg defender Hannah Hicks uses Agenda with 1.5 sponge, but mostly pushes and chops.

Is anyone still using Agenda in OX?

It came up in discussion in another thread, and I don't know how I could have overlooked this one, as it sounds like it might suit me perfectly.

You really should try it.

Like I mentioned on the other thread, I am getting good results with it. I wanted to not like it because passive blocks aren't particularly good, but in compensation it chops well, chop blocks well, attacks really well, great control, great feel. I had to adjust my game a little, but results don't lie. I think Agenda is the best all-around long pip I've tried for active strokes.

Agree with that assessment. I think it's probably the best OX chopping rubber I've tried. Everything comes on the table. Just don't expect to use it for passive blocking, just as mynamenotbob said. It's really not made for that ... which is why I don't use it (as passive blocks are a big part of my game).

Spinlord Agenda OX Review

Hi,

Video clip below shows I was using Spinlord Agenda LP OX plus Dr.Neubauer World Champion Carbon to do attacking. To my surprise, its pretty easy and consistent to attack back spin balls. Some LP OXs fail in this respect as slight wrong bat angle movement will result into net or go long.

This is my first time using it in a proper Veterans Tournament. My opponent is Mr. Inh Van Le, many-time Australian Veterans Champs and even won in World Veterans Champ too. Though I lost, but I
am happy with the Agenda LP OX attacking capability!

The following two videos show I was playing in a local league tournament. I am not a top long pimple OX player, but I feel its good for sharing and demonstrating the all-round capabilities of Spinlord Agenda OX.

Conclusion:

. If your LP OX game depends on passive blocking/chop blocking, this may not be yours. You have to look for something else as it does not generate much spin reversal.

. If you are an all-rounder doing chopping, swipe, active blocking, hitting and looking for a consistent and safe rubber in games, this is worth a go!

. It is slower than Tibhar DTecs OX, which I have been using for years and it is cheaper too!

Hope you enjoy the videos!

Hi LC

Myself and a fellow club player would really like to try out Agenda 1.0mm if you still have a spare sheet. Not sure if we need Ox or 1.0mm but have to start somewhere coming from inverted/SP

Thanks

Charles

Well I tried it today... on my regular bat, replacing my old sheet of Dornenglanz that had about 10 pips missing.

I was pleasantly surprised... it felt very similar to Dornenglanz, in fact my game required no adjustment at all! This is even more surprising because a new sheet of dornenglanz usually does require some adjustment.

I need to try it against a few more different players to decide if this is a keeper. It felt a little softer on chops with a little more grip. Blocking close in produces similar low trajectory to dornenglanz, and the balls bounce possibly a little shorter. It might be slightly more sensitive to spin, but certainly less sensitive than a new sheet of dornenglanz. Very impressed so far!

Thank you pingpongstephen and MNNB for putting me onto this one!

I played with agenda 1.0 with Joola Chen Weixing blade for the first time. It's quite good pip, with medium speed and medium minus spin sensibility. Chopping decent loops was very good with outstanding control and attacking was also very good. Feeling was like "soft pips bending".

Looking at the vids, Tur doesn't seem to get much out of the rubber either except for safe returns that didn't trouble any of the oppos!!

That might be true to some degree. On the other hand, chopping with it feels a real joy. It feels hmm... "jellylike" when soft pips bend and dampening sponge presses slowly.

Agenda 1.0 feels very controlled pip that "eats the spin and speed out of the ball". It has right speed and very good control on JSH, so it suits fast blades well.

As far as I'm concerned, these frictionless antis have no control compared to LPs. I've been using Agenda OX for a few months. It has great control. Still trying to figure out the blade. Super safe on Tibhar COS3, Attacks really well on Donic Defplay. I want super safe and attack.

Aaah see, you don't want much then!!

Do you think it's harder to play Anti with the new ball??

Conversely I have been thinking of trying Anti again this summer break as I have struggled for 2 years with my lp ox and 0.5 since this damned new ball, for my usual consistency in this new dawn of dumbed down game!!
