FWIW I find DG is excellent for chopping, and I get plenty of control. I've definitely not found a better LP, and I've tried a fair few.

I worded that funny.... i was trying to say that DG is the most controlled and comfortable pip I've used, not Agenda. I haven't tried Agenda yet.

Hi guys,

Which would you lot say out of these rubbers would be one of the better ones to use against opponents who chop or use funny rubbers (anti, LP etc)?

Dornenglanz OX?
DtecS 0.5mm?
Hellfire 1mm?

Which ever rubber you feel would be best for that purpose out of those, can you suggest a blade to go with that rubber?

Thanks :)

The achilles heel an LP rubber is that it can't really generate spin of its own. This means that an intelligent player will always know what is going to come back at them, if they think about what they imparted on the ball they hit first. This is why most defenders a) use a very spinny inverted rubber on the other side and b) twiddle, so they are not exposed, and to make it as difficult as possible for their opponent to control the rally. So, what's the right rubber to use *against* LP? Well anything you like - what is more important is that you understand what spin (if any) you used, and build you anticipation skills so you can respond as effectively as possible. FWIW I wouldn't try to fight LP with LP. My own strategy tends to me to serve with no spin to the pips and attack the third ball.

I agree with Lordcope

When I play against players that use LP or anti, I prefer to use inverted, so that I can keep it simple. When I use inverted I can easily control how much spin is on the ball, no matter what they do. If I use LP against another LP player, things get more complicated, because I can't generate much spin, but can only manipulate their spin, so I can't really control what spin I give them, making it much harder to keep track of what spin is coming back.

Tried agenda for some time again today, it felt like a13 in a dozen pip. Nothing really outstanding nothing really bad.

Imho, Agenda has one outstanding quality: its forgiveness (talking about OX version). I can consistently chop more balls with it than other lp I have tried (388d, neptune, talon, 979). Maybe not as dangerous as DG or talon, maybe only decent in terms of lp effects, but very easy to use and very linear in producing strokes.
An experienced lp player probably wants more, but for low lvl players who wants control I think Agenda is a very good choice.

LP vs LP or Anti: imho that's the case when the control of your lp is a King quality. If you can handle a no-spin fight forcing a pop-up to punish.

Osyris, that is great! Can you speak to the differences between DG and DG II?

Chopping, blocking, hitting, etc?

I can't. DG tried long ago and a little. BUT these LP very good, do everything. Characteristics are improved and the durability is increased.
For production will leave a sample 2 - it was pleasant to all players that participated in the test.
Samples differ in composition of rubber

According to Spinlord, DGII should be available by the end of the year.

2 or 4 or 3-it internal number. Exact number is a large number of figures

Hi Japsican.
How do you rate the Dornenglanz OX on the Defplay Senso? How is it for chopping and is the reversal high?
