Post subject:  TOP 5 slowest LP rubbers

Hi there.

Im seeking the TOP 5 slowest LP rubbers.

I know that Spinlord Stachelfeuer is one if not the slowest out there, and im currently playing with that LP.

I have tried POGO and DornenGlanz but they were much too fast for on my blade.

So whats the TOP 5 slowest ? Im thinking of buying all 5 and then see which one suits me best.

Kind regards
evander

Feint III is really, really slow.

Are you going for OX or sponged? Some pips are slow because of the dampening sponge, which is not the same as the pips themselves being slow, so the answers will be different.

Stachelfeuer is indeed quite slow. TSP P-H and Xi Ying 979 are a few others which are slow in OX.

Screw one
Moristo lp 1
Phantom Infinity 12
Wallest one
Feint long II OX
Friction special 2

I gave you 6 because a couple tied

Not sure how to answer this. Slowest rubber on bounce test or reaction to topspin ?
What are you trying to do&type of game?
I am a close to the table blocker and for me Dtechs ox is the top dog.

Geodor: Bounce test, my problem is holding fast balls on the table. I know the "grip" of the rubber sends topspin balls up in the air and over the table, but thats not my problem, thats "just" racket angle ;) I too am a close to the table blocker and hitter ;) You dont find the Dtecs too fast, when you face a fast loop? What blade do you use?

Yes thats the big question, I have allways played with OX cause when I try sponged version it ends up in a bad way. Way too sensitive to spin(hard to return spinny serves low and dangerous) and way too fast. Have thought of a dampening sponge but that would make my attacking even worse right? Maybe the HALLMARK PHOENIX with that special sponge would be my solution? Anyone with experience in that?

Kind regards
Evander

I have tried many slow blades from Ross Leidy, Neubauer,Re-impact etc.The best one for my game is the Tibhar Defense Plus. It's fairly cheap.I can block most topspin shots and its good against flat hits. The control is first class.

I have tried these from slow to fast in ox:Tibhar Grass :spin sensitive on def blades, best ox lp I`ve tried for off blades and will even chop
ok on carbon blades!
Stachelfeur: ball slips against loop when chopping angle slightly off
Lion Claw :nothing special,I destroyed mine left it on windowsill pips started falling off
Kokutaku 911 :no reversal nice attacking properties, not enough effects for me to use
Dawei 388d:a little faster than the above but better wobble effects and less sensitive, surprised
that more don`t use this one has been very good in local leagues for me only thing lacking is
attacks are a bit slow against underspin, good spin reversal against topspin when blocking or
chopping
Dawei 388d1:slightly faster and more spin sensitive than 388d,ruffled tops attack better but I
have more control with 388d

@DAZZLER

So you are saying that Dtec is slower than the others you mentioned? Even slower than Stachelfeuer?

Most people on this forum says that Dtec is one of the fastest OX rubbers, and pretty hard to control, but gives a very disturbing play.

Ahhh I see ;) But the Dtec should be slower that the original GRASS??

Speed 49 on the original
Speed 45 on Dtec

thats what CONTRA.DE says

My dad and I are both at-the-table blockers with long pips. We both use D Tecs (ox). He plays with a Tibhar Defense Plus blade. A very slow blade. I have a Defense Plus that currently has D Tecs (0.5), which is also slow. But the ultimate slow long pips that I've tried (and still have on a blade) is KTL Stranger (ox). It's a sticky long pip, which really deadens passive returns. Sticky like this:

Its super slow, which can throw off timing, but any decent player quickly adapts to it. So slowness isn't necessarily the best quality of a long pip.

KTL Strangers is not slow and it is very sensitive to the incoming spin :swear:
Anyway, I think XiYing 979 tops the list

Maybe you're thinking of Stranger Attack with sponge. The super sticky sheet of Stranger in ox is super slow (because of the stickiness).
