Hi.
I'm going to buy a blocking OX LP. Please advise to choose between two blades to put them on.
The first one- modified old Japanese BTY Korbel, cut down, huge sweet spot, almost zero vibrations, quite stiff, medium-soft.
The second- custom made blade, All+\Off-, mahogany outer plies, kiri center, has small vibrations, medium stiffness, medium hardness.
Probably not the best options for LP blade, but I'm not a full-time LP player and at the moment don't think about getting extra blade.
The second blade due to the dark outer plies supposes buying only black LPs in OX. The conventional wisdom is that for reversal, blocking and disturbance red pips are better...
Due to different sizing of the blades I can't first cut down and put onto one blade and then cut again and put onto another blade.
Any suggestions?

Blade: Sanwei F3 Pro (=TB ALC)
FH: Tibhar MX-D max
BH: Hellfire X/Dtecs ox
Yeah, at first you should not buy new blades, if you are quite new to the ox pips.

Put the pips in the blade with biggest head with slowest bounce. It would take long time master ox playing, so don't blame the blade first. You can also try the oversize rubber with smaller blades without cutting.

Some blade + rubber combinations are just too fast and so unplayable. If you are just strugling to keep the ball on the table, your equipment is propably too fast.

Roy, thank you for the suggestion about blade's speed. My Korbel seems to be a bit faster but difference is not so big.
These 2 blades are both regular size but with different blade's shape.
Just another question- which blade is probably has more potential for reversal and disturbance effects? (the second blade is possible only with black LP OX)

You can use red OX LP on dark colored( ebony, black, etc. ) if you use a white glue sheet. I last got some from Cole but I believe those were all he had left at that time.
