Does any one know a good blocking/attacking long pimples that comes with a medium-hard sponge?

You are a serious EJ my friend! :P

I've tried a fair few pips with sponge and never come across anything that will give the control of Ox, but the power of sponge. Blocking characteristics demand the ability to take power off, Attacking characteristics demand putting power on. Direct conflict there. I've tried dampening sponge, thicker and thinner sponge...and everything leads back to Ox. With your LP attacking game, I can appreciate your search, but you attack with Ox well...and you maintain good blocking ability with it.

After building that wad of pips you have, I thought you'd be done searching

See you Thursday!

Hahahaha, I'm not really looking to change my main set up, really happy the way I play with it.
I had a conversation with JD @ Croydon, he hits very well with his pimples. He puts a hard sponge himself to his pimples, he explained it makes it easier to hit through top Spin and side spin.
For my upcoming Monday season, it would be really helpful to have a set up that allows me to be more aggressive to hit side spin serve..... That's the theory behind it lol

ofc with sponge is easier to hit.....
that why attackers use inverted/SP (generally sponged rubbers)

You make a good point Garbol. Jeanc may actually do well with SP on his FH, although SP is not the best blocking rubber IMO. I think Jeanc is trying to fid the best of both worlds.

What LP does JD have on and what sponge does he attach himself Jeanc? I know he attacks well with it, I've seen him do it at Vets. I've never played him in singles, but have experienced it in doubles against him a long time ago. I think his verbal agility is as good as his LP though :P

Hahahaha, that's him.
He uses Double Fish 1615 and he attaches I think a 1.6mm chinese sponge 42 degrees hardness.
I played 15 years inverted on my forehand, I have tried short and medium pimples, but long it's what I enjoy the most and have had my better results.
I plan to stick with OX, just wanted to know if there is in the market a long pimples with medium hard sponge to try out, and maybe use against specific opponents. I do believe that it's an advantage to be able to play different long pimples against specific opponents or in a doubles match
