Hi Guys

I have tried a lot of LP's, it seems that Dtechs is the only One that I chop low over the net.
Maybe my chopping technique isnt as good as I thought
All the other ones I have tried seems to og back too High after a few chops. Mostly because Them react more to spin.
The other types of pips need very fast strokes i cannot do that with my hand injury.

I tried the P4 and it is very Easy to use but Does not give the underspin that I get from Dtechs 0,5.

I Will stay with Dtechs might try ox again, its been a few years since I used it - has Anybody tried Them both recently and Can compare Them ?
Will the ox have less underspin in chops ?

I am still in trouble against unspinny balls, but I Will have to practice against these shots and perhaps learn to twiddle.

Soren

Imho,

LKT Stranger is one of the safest pips on chopping, impervious to opposing ball spin. Too bad it did not generate enough back spin, not on Tackiness Chop 2 level, may due to mushy soft top sheet, or my opponent ball not spinny enough. :P It soak spin rather than reverse spin (on Def Alpha). One of my favourite chopping LP.

Combine with Geo spin Tacky, you can widen your chop Standard Deviation. :)

Is that hand injury of yours permanent or only temporary?

Funny you find P-1R susceptible to sidespin but find P4 easy to use. P4 is far more spin-sensitive including side spin. P4 is essentially a grippier P-1R.

As for the height, it is likely you just aren't matching the spin. If the spin is faster than your bat the ball will pop up. You need more bat speed and a different bat angle...that's all.

The Dtecs are so slippery they allow you to have less bat speed because they just continue the opponents spin. So really you're not altering/adding the spin much....just sending back what the opponent gives you. Hence your problems with no-spin.

This is the reason many people say they find FL3, P4, and even P-1R less "Spinny."
Often times it's us who is not Spinny enough. me included.

I've had this same problem too for awhile. Pushing with pips over the table is difficult. Curl PR1 is a very difficult rubber to use effectively. Grass D Tecs is only
good for chopping if your opponent uses spin. I am using Easy P 1.0 long pips and they get a lot of backspin on my chops and a lot of control on my pushes. You really want control over spin when you are pushing a push with long pips. So Easy P has a ton of control when pushing a push. The key is when you push, chop, or bump an opponents push make sure you return it very low and deep in either of your opponents corner. If you want your pushes against an opponents push to be heavier underspin then use your inverted side or switch to short pips chopping. I never really twiddle now, and I can chop a chop, chop a dead ball, chop a really spinny loop, chop a smash...etc. I can chop anything with Easy P. But remember, if you chop back with heavy heavy spin placement and height are not that important. If you are chopping a push or a dead ball it must skim the net and go deep to either corner. Hope that helps.
