I love easy p and I'm a long time user of P-1R.

It's easier for chopping, and far easier to get more balls on the table when you are out of position. It's a tad faster but has a bit more braking effect. Produced heavy under, but not as much as p-1r. But it garners just as many points. I feel easy-p makes my opponents note frustrated and tired because I chop more back on the table.

It's a bit more difficult to handle sidespin serves with easy-p, but when I put it on a slightly harder stiffer blade than the defplay, it was MUCH easier in that regard.

I am likely to switch as soon as I sand down the handle of the 309 blade, and get a new FH rubber.

Would you recommend 0,5 or 1,0 sponge for a chopping game ?

Either, but I've never tried the 0.5mm though. I reallu prefer 1.0mm for chopping and pushing...and serve return especially.
Also, I'm an intermediate player so take my advice with that in mind, Bogeyhunter is like 3x better than me.

But my opinion is that whatever you use with p-1r, start with the same sponge size with easy p. I like more sponge to dampen incoming pace and the feel for serve return. If you block more often than most choppers 0.5 is better, if you are a pure chopper...1.0mm.

Just don't put it on a defplay or a blade like it....the flex makes it too grippy in the short game. A medium or more stiffness 5 or 7 ply like VKM, Next Lissom, Joo will negate the grip in the short game and it plays perfectly. (But the joo is too fast IMO.).
I personally like it on a cheap blade called the 309 blade by Sword. I just don't like the handles...the blade flares down too far on the handle.

I Will put it on a Tibhar Stratus Power Defence.
I Will try out 0,5 for more control since I am used to 0,5 dtechs.

Really looking forward to testing This pip.

Ah cool. Just keep in mind that its going to be a lit more spin sensitive compared to dtecs (you probably already know this). I was comparing to P-1R because of the original post.

Have fun!

I have played a lot with EASY P with 0.5 sponge.

Its VERY INsensitive to spin, actually the best one I have ever tried so far, even with 0.5 its extremly easy to take serves.

It blocks very low.

Not much disturbance though.

Easy to hit with, not so good to chop with I think.

I play with 1 mm.

Not much to none disturbing/wobble.
Very good to chop with - check my videos. I took down many good players/loopers.

I am testing the Easy P 0,5 tomorrow on Stratus Power defense.
Should I try it in 1 mm as well, I play mostly a chopping game.
