Hey all, I'm using voice to text so forgive the grammatical errors. I was wanting to see if any of you had any creative ways of keeping the wings of Long PIP rubbers secured down to the blade. By the "wings" I mean the areas on either side of the handle which often peel up after a little bit of usage. In the past I've tried some creative tape jobs but none of that seems to work for very long.

Pictures would be nice too.

Apparently I don't know how to use Tapatalk either, because I accidentally put this in the wrong forum. Should be in the equipment forum.

Thin scotch tape did a job for me in the past.

I am also finding that when I use gluesheet for OX, the problem with edges peeling off is not that bad (like almost nonexistent).

I sometimes cut an small rectangle area from the bottom/label area of the pips so that it hugs around the handle top and glues further down the "wing" area. This seems to help it hold on better. I'll only do that provided the LP sheet is large enough to still cover to the tip of the blade of course...which some aren't.

Pgpg, I didn't think of the glue sheet. May have to do that...maybe JUST the label area if I don't like the feel

Reb, I do that now anyway... doesn't seem to really help.

Yes, I saw that a while ago, and that did help, but I have given up on edge tape. I may revisit.

Thanks for posting that link Haggis, I'm going to give that a try next time I need to put on some fresh pips!

For OX LP I've always used Donic glue sheets. Holds all parts of the sheet securely and has the added benefit of allowing the easy transfer of the rubber to other blades (multiple times).

+1 on Donic sheet - just realized that's the one I used last couple of times. Easy to glue - have not tried to transfer LP yet, though.

I can't say this was 100% intentional, but after moving an LP from VKMO to JSH, it now looks like this... Not a chance of peeling up the edges
