Played a few hours with Gionis Def+ GD Talon tonight. Very pleasantly surprised! Very low trajectory on pushes. The ball travels far, pretty much to the white line but very controllable. When sideswiped, the ball wobbles a lot! Reversal is great too. The feeling is close to NSD but definitely lighter, a tad slower and more controllable. Very good combo overall...

Talon is a fairly versatile good rubber, I have found it very blade dependant, how would you describe your blade?

For me it is very blade dependent, and works well with Re impact blades, 2 of mine that I have!

However I get into colder weather and pips become too stiff and stop working!!
That is infuriating!!!

In my experience, Talon doesn't play well with balsa. It seems to lose all its disruptive qualities. However, if paired with something like Gionis or NSD, it really shines. I like balsa blades and they're really good with Dornenglanz, but Dornenglanz is driving me nuts with its durability problems so I'll stick with Talon for now...
