Especially the Xiying 979 is not in the LARC in 2018.
I think the Xiyng rubbers are then definitely out.
I´m playing the 979 ox and searching for an alternative rubber.
I tried last year the Yinhe 955 and Neptune.
For me the Neptune is the best alternative.
Do you know others that can match?

So, Xiying is valid up to 31-12-2017 only. They must have missed to pay the fee.

Did you try Tuple 911?

More important will be the drop of a whole bunch of 999-rubbers and the unnumbered DHS rubbers PF4-1, Cloud&Fog II, 651, 652.

I use it on bh in ox for active/passive blocking and counterattacking on off-blades.
Returning serves with pushing and aggressive chop. Mainly no defense. Sometimes in half distance
chop-blocks.
On fh I´m playing with a short pimple a blocking/counterattacking style.
The positive on Xiying is its slowety and the good control on short play.

Similar could be the scylla or neptune.

Ok well in ox I found this to be quite fast, obviously blade dependent, I’ll have to revisit sometime, which blade do you use?

Ok PB , thanks, I didn’t particularly find GDGL, anything special really, so far that is, still I find Talon and CCircles the best for my type of game, but as weather turns colder, Talon becomes less malable, stiffer, harder and more difficult to use unfortunately, I wonder if anyone else finds this to be the case?

I've been using Talon since 2012 and I have not noticed a difference but I do live in Florida where it's never cold.. Usually, the playing venues around here are climate controlled, so the rubber is exposed to the same temperatures all year long when being used...

You are so lucky PB, I measured the temperature at match start the other night, it was 12 to 13 *C, impossible to warm up and and play at ones best!!

Did you ever try the Talon special?

I’ve found that Talon and CCircles work even better on the plastic ball with softer blades now!

Tulpe 911 is the closest I tried,the control is better,the base sheet is thick I preferred this over the 979

Talon Special is the same topsheet as regular Talon.. All that is different on the Special is the sponge.. In OX, regular Talon and Talon Special are identical..
The only Talon that is different is the National Team Talon sold by TTDD.DE
This is the one that I'm actually using.. I never liked cropcircles.. I do like snowflake which is similar to Talon..

Ok, great info thx, how is the TTDD.DE version so different to standard Talon?

What I like about CC is it is softer and I can attack and defend well and it’s s very accurate whereas Talon is more dangerous on reversal but harder to achieve the accuracy and attack!
But bare in mind I play in colder temperatures, when I go to a warmer climate like eg Spain, Talon is

Back on topic, I played someone with 979 with 2.00 mm sponge, he defended well, but boy could he attack and kill the ball, almost impossible to lift back if you got to it!!
