I've just had a session with the rubber (OX red), and it's actually a really nice long pimple. I'd like to have a few more goes and check how it 'wears in' before I write a review, but here are a few points so far;

The rubber is quite slow, significantly slower than Dornenglanz, and it takes the pace off really well.

When (passive) blocking medium-fast loops the trajectory is really low, remarkably low actually, which makes blocking easy and very effective, as it produced a short and low ball. Reversal on these blocks is quite good, but it's not as important when the ball is low and short.

On slow and/or high spin loops, the rubber is a little sensitive to spin, so you need to adjust for spin, and the reversal on these is fairly low. It's still very slow though, so it produces slow floating balls, which are quite awkward for the opponent.

Pushing against backspin is not as effective, as the ball grips quite a bit, and the reversal is not high. However these balls can be attacked (hit or punch) very effectively with this rubber, so that's the strategy to use against those types of balls.

Chopping produces very good backspin, and you can really feel the ball grip on the bat. Again the low throw on medium/high impact is very low, so it produces very low balls with good backspin.

All in all, I was surprised with the rubber. I wasn't expecting anything special, but some of the properties discussed above really stood out, and can make it a very effective long pimple. The fairly high sensitively (for a LP) to spin is a bit of a weakness for my game, but this grip can be turned into a weapon too. I suspect the grip will wear off too, which I think will make it even more effective.

We're now carrying the JengKing long pimples in OOAK Shop.

I'll be doing some further testing now that we've got them.

Anyone else tried them yet?

I suppose it's this one.

Malaysian based (although doesn't necessarily means made in malaysia).

They go by "The Pimpleholics" and the rubber's name: JengKing. I don't know how or what the name means, but I have suspicion that it means Scorpion.

Rokphish just being kind. :)

Indonesian would relate the word "Jengking" not to the animal, but to it body posture,

Jengking is means "butt facing up" for Indonesian. :P

In Malaysia Jengking would indeed be "scorpion". The other thing would be "tongeng". There's a lighting shop that opened up a few blocks from where I live, the owner is most likely Chinese and doesn't know Malay that well because, in huge letters on the roof, it says "Tong Ging". All the Malay people who pass by giggle when they see it.

Tungging?

That even worse for Indonesian. [FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY][FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY][FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY]

[after 5 minutes LOL]

for Indonesian, tungging carry the same exact meaning as jengking, but with the connotation as,

"the meal is served and ready to eat."
