Just looking on Customtabletennis.uk--great online shop btw--and came across a more expensive version of Hellfire. http://www.customtabletennis.co.uk/Saue ... mples.html

Anyone know anything about this? How is it different from regular Hellfire?

Cheers! :D

Yes its stretched onto a gluesheet, its supposed to be slower with more effects, I tried it but quickly went back to388d ,maybe I''ll take another look

It’s a “spezialist” version cause by dumpening glue sheet... you can made same versione with a Toni hold dumpening glue sheet, but the combination it’s very expensive much more than the spezialist Hellfire’s version.

Thanks for the answers, lads. I wonder would stretching a normal OX onto a glue sheet--carefully!--do the same with any other OX rubber?

Be an interesting experiment but doubt you could get consistent spacing across the whole
blade!

I assume this is not an official S&T release?

One of my friends wrote an inquiry to S&T and they replied that they had never manufactured any 'spezial' versions. Also I heard that these 'spezial' versions are made by some european shop)
btw I once saw a Dornenglanz and D.Tecs spezial as well))

Hmmm...interestinger and interestinger...now if these 'Spezial' pips were also larger and slicker a la a certain German spezialist pip modifying shop...

Seriously, I'm really liking the Neubauer Gangster at the moment so wasn't really serious about buying them and have just decided to accept that there will just not be the same effects--backspin, wobble etc.--with the new balls off any pips...any legal pips anyway. So I've resolved to go with safer pips that can hit as well and thus far, it's working out OK!

Hi Peeps!!

I came across this "spezial" version of Hellfire awhile back and saw that it wasn't listed on the official S&T site. I was quite curious about it as I enjoy playing with regular Hellfire. Anyways I gave Sebastian Sauer a quick email and his response is below. Hope this helps.

"The Hellfire in this version sold by Contra is not an official version sold by us. Here Contra takes a Hellfire and sells it stretched onto a glue sheet. Some players use it like this but tob e honest here we have slightly different opinions by players. We never played this version ourselves. Some say it does not change much, others tell it should be faster and more disruptive, others tell it should be slower (;

I am sorry I could not help you more detailled^^ Maybe you should ask with this at Contra directly?

If youhave more questions you are always welcome to ask us.

Best regards

Sebastian"

Personally I find Sebastian to be helpful and surprisingly very approachable.

Hope this helps.

Cheers
Rob
