Blade: Hallmark Aurora
FH: Haifu Dolphin
BH: Pogo
blade going from Joo Se Hyuk to Hallmark Aurora
forehand sticking with SPs either Adidas Blaze or 802-40 (Haifu Dolphin quality erractic) not too worried about SPs willing to experiment

...now for the LPs for chop/blocking close to table. Currently I use Dr. N Super Block going to

755, 388D or Pogo

I've received the 388D sheet already, haven't installed it but from look and feel seems soft and tacky. I'm looking for stiff low friction.

thoughts...

Not sure if Adidas blade is still ITTF approved, they stopped making TT gear. The 802-40 is good value. not sure if it's fast enough, because the blade is considerably slower.

For a stiffer long pimple, try the spinlord Dornenglanz, or for a cheaper option the pogo.

I'm sure it was a typo, meant to be Adidas "blaze".

Yep, I met one seller a few months ago offering big discounts on his remaining Adidas rubbers since they are no longer authorised.

Going to try the 388D tonight. Doesn't at all feel like Super Block from touch.

Mounted on JSH with glue sheet, should be fun

Have been playing Dawei388D OX for the last couple of weeks on a Yasaka Allround Sweden Classic (without glue sheet). It looks and plays very similar to my trusted Bomb Talent OX. Pips are softer and less grippy on 388D. Let us know how you go.

bad time with 388D, too fast not good reversal. Might be better on slower blade. Passive blocking is terrible.

Pogo seems most similar to Super Block to touch and appearance. Will mount it next and try.

Update
Dawei388D (in my opinion at least) deserves recognition as a very good long pip too. Now regularly use it in practice in OX on a junior Yinhe CN2 allwood blade. Unbelievable feel and control offering me everything I need for blocking short with placement and good reversal too. It certainly increases the fun factor and my enjoyment derived from table tennis (win or lose! :D ) Another great and cheap long pip that gives the big & branded names I bet a good run for their money
