I'm playing for a few days with this new long pimple, it seems really good for the game near the table. Does anyone know her? what are your opinions? I think it's a rubber suitable for both attacking and defending near the table. keeps the ball always low and looks like a mixture of a long classic (in defence), an antispin (it is not very sensitive to effects) and e medium pimples (in attack).

Sounds interesting. From where did you buy this long pips rubber?

www.allezping.com
Metal tt is a French company. Rubber has great success in France and Italy but it seems that it is not known elsewhere. I know it to some YouTube video test.

I had not heard of it either... it's indeed on the LARC, so it's ITTF approved.

The Death Metal has a flat trajectory. It's very easy to keep the ball low but the Death is not very deceptive so you need to be very agressive to be efficient.

For me it's a pimple to avoid to loose points with it more than to earn points so strong forehand needed :P

I can add to this rubber that the base is very thin and the pinple direction is vertical. The height of the pinple is 1,7 mm and the distance is maximum. The pinple surface is slightly rough

I found this new interesting video. The boy is 12 years old and beats the number 2 of France in his category.

Yeah ... there's no way you can get that level of spin reversal on a passive block with untreated pips.

Well if it's a treated pip used in that video, then it's not really indicative of what the rubber rubber plays like, because there's no way it would have been ITTF approved if it was treated.

Personally I think it's hard to tell from the video, because if the LP player is playing a chop block instead of a passive block (hard to see the difference on a video), then the 'reversal' can be massive even with a grippy LP.

I guess we'll have to wait for a bit more feedback/reviews to find out how grippy it is.

Good find AA. That block was just wicked with low trajectory strange curve on bounce and heavy reversal. Certainly a treat to watch :D That kid is good. Legit pips (I think) for it was just the way the pips reacted on that stroke. Strangely very interesting ;)
