Blade: Donic defplay senso v3
I have Donic deplay senso v3 blade and I am using now a short pip for chopping on backhand:Friendship 802(35deg sponge hardness and 1.7mm thickness) and on forehand I have palio ak-47 blue. But I want to try a long pips for chopping on backhand to see if it will be easier. So can someone explain me the differences between Dawei 388D and Dawei 388D-1 .I dont want to use ox because I dont know how to glue ox rubber and its harder to do it,most likely I will get the thinnest sponge the rubber comes with.I like to chop away from the table and I am good at doing blocks close to the table.Which rubber would be best to get. Here are the rubbers on aliexpress I want to get. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Origina ... autifyAB=0

D smooth top pips (aids defending). D1 patterned top pips (aids attacking). The rest of the properties are the same. I use D in OX and can attack with it with no problem at all. ;)

And this rubber was meant to be used for the celluloid ball. Will it be suitable for the plastic ball like dhs d40+ or nittaku premium japanese. And if there are any other good long pimples in the same price range of 10$ please suggest me.

388d ox worked well on my Black Balsa 3 last season even with the awful clunky Butterfly balls,I also used d_1 0.5 and that was good too and is probably the way forward for me,very nice controlled chopping and ability to attack, more rewarding than Feint 3 and 2 at my level

Looking forward to trying it out sometime as good chopping plus still being able to attack is where I want to get to.

The regular is softer, which is my preference.

Well if its softer,I think it will favour chopping topspin balls away from the table

Should make it easier for blocking close to the table.

I like Dawei 388D OX because of the soft and smooth top pimples. I love the cushioning effect and blocks stay short and low
