Hi,

I am a player that my setup is:

- Victas Matshusita offensive (a defensive off- blade)
- Tenergy 05 Max
- TSP Curl p1 0,5

My game is close or to mid distance of table. I am a player with FH slow topspin bit with very spin.
I am not a clásical defensive. I like use the LP for slow down the game. With LP I chop to mid distante or close the table, too usually I block with LP.


The problem with LP TSP Curl p1 0,5 for me is on the reception of serve. Too is very difficult for me the control of Curl p1. I have played with Curl p1 six years ago but is a LP very difficult!!


I want test the follow LP (of friends):

- TSP Curl p1 0X
- Feint Long 3 0,5
- TSP Curl P2 0,5
- TSP Curl p3 alpha 0X and 0.5

Which LP is most suitable for me?

I need advice from the TT comunity!!!

In my experience LP's that are made to, or at least regarded to, be good at the table usually chops better compared to how good chopping LP blocks. IE if you're gonna do both I would go for an OX LP that can block well. This is if we're talking about chopblocking. If you want to block more like with an inverted you'd be better off with a grippier chopping LP IMO. It all depends on what part you wanna focus on and what your preference is.

How do you set up your gameplan? Is the plan to chop until you get a chance to attack or do you wanna disrupt at the table until you get an opportunity to attack? Or do you want to take offensive initiative right from the service receive and only chop when you absolutely have to?

I want disrupt at table until to get the oportunitty for atack. And sometimos (20%) chop to mid distance.
I want chopblocking.

Looks like Tibhar Grass Dtecs or Spinlord Dornenglanz would be two good options to try. Both are popular with chop-blockers, IIRC.

Seems like a "blocking LP" should suit better then, pgpg's suggestions would be my top picks. But it's of course as always also a matter of personal preference.

Globe OX 979 long pips can do those things very well.

I'd recommend this too, but only once you feel accomplished as an LP player. If you are still learning the LP ropes, I'd drop back to something like National Pogo Ox for its easier control, and then move up to one of the suggested LP's in a year or two.
