Galaxy 955? Globe 979? They're quite cheap, but you'll have to wait til Alex is back for business. :p

Galaxy 955, Milkyway Neptune, 979 are all great :) all of them are quite unique to use and are quite cheap.

979 is the easiest to attack with out of the 3 and its also the slowest :). You can chop quite well with it and attack effectively as well. the pips are sort of like the phantom series as they are mildly tacky. (well on the red sheet I had it was like that, Haggisv confirmed his batch wasnt like that)

I remembered with the neptunes, the red had orange sponge, and the black had white. Which would make the red and black play different from each other.
I also recommend the neptune, it was fairly easy to attack with, and you were able to chop very heavy with it

I like Cloud&Fog III for chopping plus attack. It's very soft and grippy...can't remember how much it cost me though, so I'm not sure how cheap it is...

Well I only ever tried the 979 with 0.6mm sponge, and it was quite fast, and not easy to control in the short game, but great for chopping away from the table. OX may be totally different...

I don't thin the 388d-1 will be different enough to make it worthwhile...

Somehow I doubt you can resist the Krypto temptation... resistance is futile....
