I prefer a hard sponge rather than a secure soft sponge. The P1-r hard sponge makes the rubber more dangerous than let's say Feint long 3 or P4 .

I wonder which Stiga 55 version is more dangerous to make life harder to the opponent.I read somewhere that Stiga 55 version is more forgiving than P1R.Then, what is better Horizontal 55 or vertical 55?

What do you mean by makes the rubber more "dangerous"?

Do you mean deception? Wobble? adding spin? spin reversal?

More dangerous means being able to make life harder for your opponent.Nobody likes playing against P1R.With P1R and its sponge you can add variety to your game so the opponent must read every ball very well .

My route is not just puttting hundreds of balls easily with a soft sponge.I want the opponent to be so good that he has to be constantly reading the spin on the ball .The success of P1r imo is that at a good level players cannot loop more than 3/4 times if your technique and footwork is on point.

With a soft sponge you need to be an athlete putting balls on the table .Therefore, fewer mistakes by the opponent.

''More dangerous means being able to make life harder for your opponent.Nobody likes playing against P1R.With P1R and its sponge you can add variety to your game so the opponent must read every ball very well .''

Then, look at the pimples of P1R, see if they are vertical or horizontal.

''My route is not just puttting hundreds of balls easily with a soft sponge.''

Hundreds? :D You got to just put one ball you play in, in the moment you are; that's more than enough.
We all have only one moment, that's all.

Well,if I were to know the pimples of P1R are the same as Stiga's I wouldn't have asked the question. Some people say Stiga 55 is more forgiving but I do not know which version.

I do not agree with you about just putting the ball in.The harder it is to read the spin, the more variation and the more backspin, the more difficult it is for your opponent.Softer sponges are much worse at doing this but the control is far easier. That's why people prefer to play against FL 3 instead of P1R for example.
