Hello Everybody,

This morning I was watching the R16 of Nagoya WTT tournament and I saw first tima Xiaoxin Yang playing. At the beginning I thought she played with kind of short pips, because of her technic of blocking, but I found this video where she said she plays with long pips.

https://youtu.be/g6dGIGPgJ7Q?si=uE7FgS95YCEJaAPc

Somebody knows which specific rubber she is using and why it seems that she is blocking as a normal rubber?

Thanks

Someone said she used Curl P1R.

Also look at He Zhuojia. She also uses LP and play offensive with it. If one doesn’t look too close doesn’t look like she’s using LP.

Thanks for answering, maybe do you know if she is using long pips with sponge?

I will check the other player you mentioned.

Wow you were right, He Zhuojia plays like if she was playing with spiny rubber. Amazing recommendation.

I don’t know for sure but most likely with sponge. Rarely we see any pro players using OX.

It is true, anyway the dream to get more pros with OX is there, at least for fun. This is a kind of rubber I love, and learn about it day by day.

Zhoujia plays with 1,5 mm. BUTTERFLY Feint-Soft on a Stiga Clipper (CC maybe?).
Pimples of Feint-Soft are shorter than Curl P1R and easier to play with.
Seems like Xiaoxin uses 1,0- 1,3 mm. sponge under Curl P1- R if not OX.
1.4-1,7 mm. Curl P1-R seems a bit ''fast''/''repulsive'' for a close to the table chop-block game.
Curl P1-R is an grippy, difficult to play( because of the lenght of the pimples ), professionel, allround long pips.

According to the article four months ago, He Zhuojia uses CL CRW with DNA Dragon Grip and Feint Soft 1.3mm

Maybe I didn’t get you answer. It means she does not play with TSP but some king of Butterfly pips, easiest to play with???

Thanks for answering

Ok, then it has more sense for me that she does not have OX.

Thanks
