would it be possible to change things around so that when you look up an item it goes to the latest addition to the page as opposed to the beginning of the thread
please note i know nothing about organising this sort of thing so appologise if this is a really silly thing to ask

Thanks for the suggestion, and it's not silly at all, a good idea actually... unfortunately since I don't know enough about PHP, I doubt I could figure out how to do it...

I wouldn't mess with phpbb - it's too complex.

Instead, look at the bottom of the thread. you'll see

Display posts from previous: All posts Oldest First Go

just change it from oldest first to newest first. Is that what you wanted?

changes doesn't appear to stick though...

There's probably a preference somewhere that will make it.
