I think we should have a new section for links to TT news. I wouldn't mind reading daily TT news updates.

It could be called "TT News & Views" with subsections for news and user blogs.

My whole set-up costs less than a sheet of Butterfly Dignics

It's worth considering, but I think it needs some careful thought.

I'm concerned we create confusion of where stuff needs to be posted. If, for example, there is news of a new blade, should it go in news or blades? If it's posted in news, it will only be 'news' for while, after which it should really end up in blades.

Personally I prefer to avoid sub-sections, although it's been quite effective in a few cases. Would this proposed section ONLY have subsections, or will the section itself have content as well?

The way I would envision it, the section would highlight interesting table tennis-related articles from the news and media sites. This would...

a) Prompt new and interesting discussions
b) Help keep us all better informed about what's going on in our sport

I don't think there will be too many newspaper articles on new rubbers from Dr. Neubauer.

Of course, if equipment news is posted here incorrectly, the mods will move it to the appropriate section.

Also, it doesn't necessarily have to be sub-sections.

"Table Tennis News & Views" can be a section, much like "Table Tennis HOTLINE" with categories of Table Tennis in the News, Interviews & Articles, User Blogs and Tournaments.

Just a suggestion.

Now that you put it that way, I think it's a good idea! I guess it could go after 'General'.

Can anyone else see any issues with a section like that?

How about a rules? section, with maybe a current connection to the latest ITTF rules, latest approved rubbers list and questions and answers about is this legal?

It's not a bad idea, although I think when it comes to equipment questions, they might be better organised into the current equipment sections.
