up where it shows "View unread posts" New posts, Your posts. there should be a quick link displaying new threads, any theread that has been acessed by the uses should no longer show up in the said new section

Did you try the "View Active topics" link on the left? That's the one I always use.

Next time I upgrade the forum software, I'll include a list of latest topics on the home page, which i think will make it even easier to view the latest discussions.

The 'active topics' link already shows the latest topics, and marks them when you've read them.

I'm hoping soon, within the next few weeks, depending on whether I get enough time to do... there's a few things involved, and I'll probably move the forum to a faster USA based server as well, which should address the performance issues of the last few months.
