We currently have a standard member rank/title in place, depending on your post count. These are as follows:
New Member 1
Full member 50
Senior member 100
Super User 200

These names are pretty boring, and I'm not sure if the post numbers are appropriate either. so perhaps we can come up with some better names for these, that are more appropriate to a TT forum?

Note that we also have some custom ranks/titles. you can read how this works here:

If you appreciate some people's contributions or help, I would encourage you to nominate them for a custom title, if they don't have one already.

Not a bad idea... the only think that bugs me about that is that new members, who may be professional players or coaches, are then labelled with imappropriate titles.... not sure how we get around that. :o

OOAK Semi-Pro

OOAK Pro

The only issue is we need to show that a custom title is the ultimate goal and custom titles not seeming beneath the standard ones.

Personally I don't like the concept of standard titles. They are an encouragement for members to simply try to up their post count with no regard to quality. If they could be disabled that would get my vote.

By contrast custom titles recognise contribution.

Am I alone in this view?

Actually I prefer if we could have either table tennis experience or level of play, that way a new person with 30 years of experience or is a Countries top player isnt looked at as a newbie

I think what Haggisv is talking about is how many times your post in the forum. Not your level of experience. You can tell just by reading some of the post on here who you should listen to and who should just be looked at as... well... not as experienced. To put it nicely.

The only trouble I see with counting your post with to your level is just because you might have 3000 posts doesn't mean you know what you are talking about. We have s few members like that now.

Personally I like Reb's the best so far since it seems the most appropriate, but GrumpyJoe's is very funny... if we could somehow combine the two...
