So, I do sometimes surf around the net for various other information, not-TT related. (I'm quite the researcher). I've noticed something. Here at OOAK, everybody's a lot nicer than on other forums (not-TT related ones). It's pretty common to see people flaming at the drop of a hat, and not even over touchy subjects. I just saw someone get on someone else for quoting a person when their comment was right below the person they quoted. Stuff like that. Just a little word of cheerfulness. |

I think part of why we're such a positive group at this forum is because we do what we love - play table tennis. Add to this that because it's a sport we get to vent our frustrations in a controlled way and get the added bonus of all those natural happy drugs - endorphins! Don't believe me? See what the Wiki says: Endorphins ("endogenous morphine") are endogenous opioid peptides that function as neurotransmitters. They are produced by the pituitary gland and the hypothalamus in vertebrates during exercise, excitement, pain, consumption of spicy food, love and orgasm, and they resemble the opiates in their abilities to produce analgesia and a feeling of well-being. |

I have noticed the general maturity and kind nature on this forum. I have been on many forums with lots of keyboard warriors that will flame and abuse people at the slightest hint that they don't agree with every word they say. I guess the anonymity of the Internet allows people to say and do things without consequences a lot of the time.
