Although we always have some really good topics going, things have seemed a little quiet on the forum lately. I've been rather busy myself over the last few months as well, so I've not started as many new topics as I usually do.

Any ideas on how we can 'liven' thing up a little, or other ways on how we can share our passion for TT here?

Cheers everyone!

We can demand that every forum member who hasn't changed their blade or rubber in the last year (NOT replace, but CHANGED) do so immediately and then keep us posted on their new EJ adventure! Failure to comply will not be tolerated!

Do you want my PayPal or Bank Account details for depositing said cash to purchase said equipment?

:P :P :D

But seriously, maybe we need more of the 'light' topics, like humour or creative stuff. A forum like this always benefits from non-TT related posts, even if they're a bit TT-related. Which reminds me that I should type out the continuing saga of my TT science fiction story. Now that Christmas is on us it's given me a little more time to visit the forum.

I think you're right Oskar... some more fun stuff that does not need to be TT related... Things like jokes, games, etc.

I also like it when members share their interests outside of TT. We do have a lounge where people can share stuff about their life without it getting too personal or intrusive.

Also, we could run a competition over Christmas where members could post photos of their bat or a ball in a funny, strange or weird setting. Don't know if it would work, but - as they say - can't hurt suggesting! But being a competition (helps to have incentive) it might mean giving away a small prize (or three). ;)

Okay, looks like I better do something then.

If you don't beat me to it, I'll start a thread in the Lounge in the next couple of days.

I have a Workmate 76 Series Toyota Land Cruiser in which I go 4 Wheel Driving in our great Australian outback. I am a member of a 4 Wheel Drive Club in which trips are organised then attended by members creating convoys which are good fellowship and fun.

Like with TT the social interaction between participants as well as the doing is a great part of the experience.

+1

I have to admit I racked my brain for a bit to think of something NEW, but didn't come up with anything. But really the old things that have worked in the past, such as lighter topics that can generate fellowship and sharing, tend to generate more interest for those of us where the EJ disease isn't currently nagging at you

Post a video of you playing a match. I bet that would generate a very active thread

Plus 10.
I have been asking this video ever since I joined this forum, still haven't seen him play yet; not even a Haggisv with a blade in his hand, either hand. :(

Having had the honour of hitting with haggisv I'd like to say that there would be nothing to be embarrassed about - our haggisv is a mighty fine player.

A haggiscam and a rebcam would certainly generate some interest! ;)
