Post subject:  Info box to advice of 'live' or important events / threads
Now that we have Live Video, I think it would be worthwhile to have some sort of info/announcement box at the top of the forum, so that we can advice other people when there are live matches on, and we can watch them together and chat.

Even when there are no live matches, this info box could be useful to remind people of important threads or discussions, which they may otherwide not see.

Good idea?

I'll work on something... a sidebar or menu will be a little too tricky for me as I'd have to modify the CSS for the forum to make it fit alongside it :oops: , so I'll likely just go for something at the top, as I believe there are mods for this already. :oops:

You could do a little tab on the side of the screen... like those "feedback" buttons that are pretty popular. It could slide out when you click it. They are pretty easy to do w/ some javascript libraries. I've done it w/ a jquery plugin before, it was super easy.

The tab could be red when there are live games on... gray when not.

Pretty easy for a programmer perhaps... but a programmer I ain't! :oops: :lol:

There various ways to implement this but OOAK is fluid board without sidebars so be careful on how you do this

I have an idea :)
