OOAK Table Tennis Forum

Two thing that bug me a little about this forum software, and with my very limited knowledge of PHP I have not been able to fix them;

1. It seems to lose track of 'read' posts sometimes, maening I might miss some posts, thinking I've already read them. I know speedplay mentioned this before as well. I think it has something to do with the cookies stored on local machines, and reading the forums on more than one machine

2. When writing a PM, putting in an 'emotion' seems to sometimes put them at the end of the message, instead of where your cursor is....

These are really only little things, and don't detract anything from the forum, but can be a little annoying, and I'd love to fix them Since I'm PHP guru it might take a while before I sort it out...

The thing with emoticons also happens with tags if you try to get back and put them in after you have c-n-p the link or whatever.

I think it's just phpbb. It's not exactly the best forum software out there. I'm not too sure if i'd bother attempting to "fix" the code either.

My software-of-choice is actually one called vBulletin. It's a commercial piece so it's far more polished and complete. It's actually more widely used too...

I dont whether its been happening to anyone else or is it just my problem.
When logged in, i usually click on the "view threads after my last post" and i always get a "did not meet search criteria". So i have to go in one by one through each section

Sorry mate but it works really well for me... although sometimes it seems to lose track of unread posts, which I think it related to cookie settings. Do yuo have cookies enabled on your browser?
