I think I'll combine the 'hint & tips' section with the 'techniques, coaching' section as the hint & tips is hardly used and the 2 sections are closely related...

I guess this is an opportunity to replace it with a new section... if you have any ideas please let me know...

Good idea to combine the two sections. I think it'd eliminate the ambiguity between the two.

For the new section, how about "Rules and Regulations" or something similar? I notice there've been many discussions on them and it'd be helpful to put them together in one section. It can also be a section to discuss/address questions about them, etc.

rules and regulations sounds good, that way we could have a sticky post with the rulebook in it

there is of course one more option now hqggisv has seen a few: mid pips although a mid pips section would be nice, they are still seldom used and the section would be empty so i though that was more of a comical option

Either an inverted rubber or a blades section would be nice as these are all lumped under equipment right now. Combining the hints and the technique sections make sense to me.

Yes that's a very good point too! If we have inverted and blade sections, we might not need the equipment section or should rename it...we'd need a place for glues/boosters and accessories...

It will be too much work to sort out all the current posts in the equipment section, but we can start afresh in the new sections, and any topics that are still 'live' in the equipment section can be moved if appropriate..

I'd prefer it to be left under equipment. Apart from the nightmare of attempting to separate the lot, after the separation you'll get cross posting and incorrect posting and all that.

maybe you can call it "non-darkside-related equipment"

Hits and tips merging with techniques seems very reasonable though.

Maybe a section called "non-TT related" instead of a section "general" within a section non tt related. (Not really that big an issue though )
