I don't think that's a loop at all - it's just a topspin drive. Loops are supposed to produce overwhelming topspin. Regular topspin's been around since the days of hardbat, sponge increases it, inverted even more, but a loop produces a great deal more. These days apparently any topspin drive is called a "loop". Look at any of the table tennis books from the 1970s and they describe this stroke as a topspin drive. Loops are in a separate section. Iskandar |

It's a very good stroke, but it's not a loop. |
