its odd but this brand has more pips out rubbers than smooth rubbers in the ITTF list, strange but its in the tsp web page, made in germany check the black sponge, could be a xiom sponge derivative

Thanks for the post! It is always interesting to see what is out there!

Could this be a division of TSP? (Like Chevrolet is a division of General Motors?)

Looks to me like they are only interested in marketing this product in Japan...no other language or translator....checked Robbins for Americans....nothing-then again Robbins does not even seem to have Curl PR 4...

I have tested Victas 101 short pimple rubber. Excellent quality ,fast attacking rubber with good control even in max thickness.Spin is excessive for short pimple in topspin and backspin push.Backhand blocking and punch is very effective and easy to use. Speed over table on a fast blade, seems faster than 05 inverted and causes your playing partner to hurry their shot. Cannot find a fault in this rubber. :D

Barry, what other short pips have you tried? Can you compare the Victas 101 to any of them?

Hi, Over the years I have tried most short pimples, Victas seem to have that something extra for attacking players. If you could get Donic Baxter LB ( Also made in Germany ) that was quicker, more spin and more difficult to play against that would be it. The only thing I would say is you need good short pimple technic to have the best out of this rubber. The manufactures have worked hard to get this rubber good for pro players. :D
