Hi, mates!
Almost every thread i've read states that it's right to use SP on the softest sponge and pair it with hardest wood. What do you think of another message: using SP on hard sponge paired with rigid heavy wood but with a soft touch (outer plies)?
Your opinions are much appreciated.
Vasily

can be what ever combination feels good to you....you suggestion about the soft outer ply isnt a wierd one because the stiga clipper...famous blade for short pips....has a soft outer ply.....i think the blades overall stiffness is more important then the outer ply if you are playing with sponge

You're right... P700 is another commonly used with SPs, and that one has a fairly soft feel too.

I use Raystorm on a Viscaria. Soft on Soft (but stiff). I like it a lot. I think it's mainly a matter of taste.

Couldn't agree more. I just came back from training in Hong Kong, and holy crap, no matter what blade my coach picked up or whatever rubber, the quality of shot is just as amazing.

I personally use a slow 5ply with harder sponge and spinny pips, pretty much breaking all the rules. But I like the feel of it haha
