Hi Everyone

Is anybody using this rubber and planning to use it competitively?

If so can they recommend a fast blade for it?

I am thinking of giving it a try on my backhand coupled with Joola Energy Xtra on forehand. I am blocking really well with slow inverted at the moment but seek a disruptive rubber with which I can block aggressively and return spin serves effectively.
Bulldog

Hi
I have just got terminator and desperado and using them with a chen defender oversize blade not used it in a competitive match yet just practise games against my son who is a 2 winged attacker and found both rubbers great terminator plays like a sort of traditional sp not much spin crossed with an lp great for chopping forehand and backhand great control and flat hitting is quite easy. dummy topspin shots are quite easy with this rubber.
only drawback is almost no spin i think this can be both good and bad as a lot of people will miss hit balls that look as if they have been hit with a backspin stroke same with the dummy topspin.
The obvious downside is you can't put much if any spin on serve but great for fast flat serves.
I have not used short pips much as yet so am far from being a good judge of them but so far i am very impressed with this one.
The desperado ox i have is also great for control spin reversal good to seems to play much like cloud and fog ox i have been using.
Is a short pip long pip combo something that is used by many players?

A lot of players use short pips with sponge along with long pips with no sponge. Short pips with no sponge (like Terminator) plus long pips no sponge is much rarer, but you'll still see it around. The advantage to Terminator/Desperado is this is a very spin insensitive combination. The disadvantage is the lack of ability to create spin (especially on serves). In my opinion, Terminator needs a spinny rubber of the other side to be most effective. My double OX bat at the moment has Butterfly Orthodox paired with Desperado, which gives more ability for spin manipulation.

Thanks for that i have a sheet of hallmark magic pips which seems to have fair spin maybe ill give that a try out.
been using galaxy moon till couple of weeks ago but as I'm not much as a looper but much better at flat hitting it was suggested to me that i try short pips terminator seems very good for that but as you say great control but lack of spin.
ill try the magic pips and see how they go.
