i tried 3 sp becouse i compete against young players, off course they are faster then me so tried a new setup more disturbing but yet fast to play against veterans,i am 42,play regularly in +35 and +40 and also in second division.i tried again globe 889,very disturbing but slow and not very controllable.so i buyed a 889 with japanese sponge, more control but not faster and loose some disturbing game.so after a month becouse ttnpp did not send (paypal controvesry) i gto a friendship 802 mystery 3 2,1mm 41° sponge from eacheng.that is a fast, not like japanese or european, but yet fast disturbing and control rubber.i hope it bring me a solution and satisfaction for my game.

That's very thick for a sport pimple... most people use 1.5 to 1.8mm which tends to give a lot more control. Extra thickness tends to mainly add spin, which is not really what SPs are good for.

Once again if you are looking for "disturbing" in short pips -you're looking in the wrong place. You would be better off looking in medium pips if disruption is a big part of your game. Maybe the Legend 105 pip? Yes some short pips can cause a disruptive block for certain players who are used to playing inverted-almost exclusively. Once you hit a certain level -you better be using SP for what they were designed for-fast,quick hitting offense. If you were going to look for maximize disruption one of the Dr's short pips offerings seems a place to start if you have the coin...
