I am looking for a SP that will work well for service return, chopping and hitting.
Which would you guys recommend ?
I play a fh looping game 2-3 meters behind the table - but need a more safe service return and need the possibility to chop behind the table.

Friendship 802 is a great all around SP that IMO lets you do anything you want.

I'd go 802-40 if you want a SP that gives you a pinch more spin/attack to your game if that's what you're looking for. This one would also be better for the occasional attack should you choose to stay 2-3 meters behind the table.

For choping on the FH, I use Orthodox Dx. If you drop a ball on it it bounces very very low, lower than peacekeeper OX.

But it can produce spin on its own with thick base sheet and ribbed, grippy short pips.

But seems like the setup you use presently calls for sponge and you like to play as a looper so the SP are for your BH I assume. Then go the route of 802 like many modern attacking choppers, and use sponge.

TSP has some short pips specifically for chopping, like the Super Spinpips Chop Sponge 2 which was reviewed here recently.

I love 802 for the strokes you described. I use 802 Mystery III with 2.1 and 1.7 sponge, soft at 38 deg.

I started using it on my BH. When I started using long pips on BH, I switched it to FH. So it's versatile enough to be used on BH or FH for both defensive and offensive play. Spinny enough such that I never really missed my inverted FH rubber.

All my opinion, whatever that's worht. Hope this helps
