Hi Kees,

do you think it´s possible to play a kind of He Zhi Wen style with Medium pips (Spinlord Keiler 1,5 or 1,8) on BH, Samba plus (good for blocking and hitting imho) on FH on a Yinhe/Galaxy T6 (Carbonblade with relative soft feeling)?

Greetings Claus

No.
;)
It is not possible to hit and block with inverted rubber as you can with SP. The trajectory of the ball will be different, the spin on the ball will be different, the speed will be different. Nor is it possible to play with a shakehand grip as you can with penhold grip. It is much less efficient over the table and varying spin is much more difficult.
But even so, it is possible to pick some elements from He's game and translate them into a shakehand style. For instance, his short sidespin serve, and attacking the return with your BH pips.

Hi,

thanks for your answer, but the Focus on my question was, if medium pips is possible instead of short pips. FH is fine :D .

Greetings Claus

Ah. Then: certainly. It was quite common in China to use medium pips with or instead of short pips on penholder blades. They have to be fast enough, though, which (combined with the decreased grip) tends to make them a bit harder to control than short pips.
