good day ooak ! just want to ask about the durabilty of most short pips especially stiga clippa? i have a bad experience in double fish 820a and globe 888
they lost their grip in just 3 months of training. im planning to switch. my current fh is 802-1 and i dont like it.

3 months is about right - I change mine every three-four months. Wipe 'em down with water after each session

My red stiga Clippa 2.0 is almost 8 years on my Clipper frame. I don't feel the need for a change

It must lose a lot of grip over 8 years... unless you take everything early and don't really reply on grip?

I can see how that could work, must be like a fast anti by now

:)
I think you underestimate the durability of the clippa.
There is not a noticable difference in spin between a 2.0mm 8 years old clippa and a new 1.5. It has still more then enough grip.
I can still score points with backspinservices. And that,s not because it acts like an anti.
The ageing of a player goes faster then a clippa rubber. :(

maybe you not use a lot of spin, a old clippa will be like anti/LP very slow, people playing with old pips are ok cos they make more trouble returning balls that attacking with spin
