My two pennies: Short pips are not designed for a disturbing game. I believe Dr Evil is as it’s name indicates – ‘evil’ for a short pip :-D . Never played or tried it personally. You may want to consider a medium pip which will provide some/more disturbance than short pips but certainly not as much as long pips. Good luck!

Yinhe/Galaxy Pluto is one of those medium pips. Gives some disturbance while just slightly harder to learn compared to short pips.

Medium pips: some says half baked, some says best of both worlds.

Nittaku Pimplemini pretty disturbing. But nothing beats long pips for disturbance. Also you should take into account who you are playing will affect the performance. If you are playing that has heavy spin you'll get more movement. That being said, in my experience the disturbing affect from SP is hard to consistently replicate. I think they are best suited for a fast smash hitting game.

For reversal, agree with other. Go long pips. The slickest one. :)

For disturbance, its different story. The more random the ball behaviour (speed, spin, etc) from slightest difference of strokes, or from opponent expectation from normal rubber, the more disturbing the rubber is.

Agree that Dr Evil is evil in name only. It act the same as very low throw normal rubber, except

it kill the spin on flat hit or block. This just one evil can throw trained player off guard. ;P

I used to use DHS C7 which is supposedly a mid-pip, even though it says LP on cover. It does act as a MP though. But it did also give reasonably good level of disturbance and reversal, especially for how well it could be hit with.

You do also have to take into consideration the blade effects too. Different blade and rubber combinations will produce differing pip effects.

I had C7 on HK. It worked pretty well.

Haven't used MP on Gergely. Haven't used MP that much actually.
