I have opened the packet and touched it,

first appearances

Not very gripy directly on the top surface

Firm hard pips that require alot of pressure to make them flex

good Grip on the edge of the pip

It is Tensor made in Germany

We have a high level player in my town who plays pips I will give him the pips to try, he is using Super spin pips and Spectol, has used Donic Baxter F1

I gave the SPO to my friend, who went though sports school in china as a short pips pen grip hitter blocker, for he to try this new tensor rubber so here is his feed back ( which came via TXT SMS )

Very good short pimple for attacking it would be better if sponge is 1.8mm
It is good for young people, sponge is a little bit 2 hard for me, if sponge is thinner , u may use slower blade for more control.

At the end of the session he gave it back ( even though I said keep it ) and went back to TSP Super spin pips 1.8 or maybe even 1.5 ) on his BBC Blue streak blade ( special made for him by Charlie at my request

Somebody else at had a hit thought it was like 802-40

That is all I have to report, sorry not very informative

My rep at Xiom informs me that the LPO has been delayed due to racket control approval but it is on the list but he said some issues?

Hi not sure if anybody is checking this topic but I have an update on SPO

My Chinese friend wanted to try it again on a Stiga WRB blade

I watched home use it, it was better than excellent easy to hit with block with and serve with, so we have both changed our opinion this is an excellent attacking rubber but blade fussy

I do not know much about WRB blades ( except Xu Xin uses one ) compared to the BBC blue streak?

There's quite a few WRB blades from Stiga, the WRB refers to the hollow handle, which is used on several blades. The Offensive Classic is probably the popular, although this is quite a flexy blade, so not usually one recommended for short pips.

For short pips a lot of people use Clipper.

I was given a sheet of Xiom SPO red 2.0mm for testing.
Unfortunately, I haven't done so since I play modern defense with Spectol 1.5mm.

Few things I can tell by looking at it:
. Very similar pips to Spectol (pips length, width, grip).
. Factory boosted as hell!! The unglued rubber doesn't stay flat at all..... total tensor look and feel
so I am pretty sure, it's going a very bouncy and fast rubber (vs Spectol).
. Mid hard sponge and average weight (heavier than Spectol)

Here is a short-test in german.

- very soft pimples
- tuned as hell
- strong catapult effect
- you have to play with it offensive and aggressive
- active balls have a very flat flightcurve
- passive balls ends up very high

How is the block against spinny loop and flat hits?
